Yep if you are keen, you have organised a few of the Aotea trips which we all enjoy, if you need help post something or ask me, I don't know rallywoods that well yet so others may have an idea....

What you can do is ask someone else to lead the trip eg Dodzy, Wacko etc? if they are willing. you just specify what, where, when, what safety gear you want etc.

Suggested dates? I guess 23-24 is out because people will be doing last minute christmas shopping

Is there a time during any week that would be good to go? Im off up north after new years for a few weeks (trying to figure out how I can take the rover ) so maybe can we fit in a trip between christmas and then? wainui coast? a nice shiny trip somewhere?

I dont mind leading it just depends on the date, im away on the 23/24 and have got the roller coaster on the 16th and interclub champs on the 9th in rallywods aswell so those dates are out for me. Also away the 25/26 so wont be making the terawhiti either. Have the trip whenever and if im around im happy to lead.

According to the rallywoods site there are clubs in there the weekend of the 2nd and the weekend of the 9th, so it would probly have to be the weekend of the 16th unless it is held somewhere else???

Cant get access to the akkas till someone becomes a trip leader through ARAC.

Looks as though the options are:
Rallywoods - Weekend of the 16th
Aotea?
Terawhiti?
Deadwood / Andys Training Ground?
Wainui Coast?

Re an ARAC trip leader Ron may be avaliable, I understand a permit may be required. what area's up there are "playable" and which ones do we need to be careful of?

Remember it needs to cater for the newbies and shiny trucks that don't like scratches etc....what about terawhiti and a bbq etc in a sheltered part and evening drive out or something? or Red Rocks (can orobably get hold of a bach there).

Red rocks = good because you dont have to clean your vehicle afterwards.

I think maybe its best to sort out the forest trip later.
