Not really that much of a diver, only been out a couple of times, and have just sold my BCD.
Got paua last weekend on the Kaikoura coast. Took about 5mins to get my 10, in about 2m of water.
Hopefully the crays will be moving in a little closer soon, so if its a good forecast for the weekend, I'll head back to our spot and throw the pots out instead of heading down to Worsleys again.
Right, I'm taking over organising this thing, sure Rik won't mind and it aint gong to happen by itself.
Mike can you start a new poll so I can guage numbers for this gig, got a feeling it could go bigger then Ben Hur
Also number of who will be staying overnight so we can organise campground placement.
Once I get a feel I will be putting a call out for equipment, eg BBQ's, tables, large tents/marquees, may needed to build some latrines for the guys, don't want to overload the septic. I reckon 40 - 50 people will come. Hope all come to the party both literaly and lending gear/hand ( yes I will need volunteers to dig that latrine) in the ORE Xmas spirit.

Good idea Al, might be easier for the "non-compliant handbrakes" to stay behind and have a couple of wines when we don't want to take over the driving duties

I've decided not to goto the geraldine trial as having a blat down the river and bbq and bonfire and another trip will be ten times more fun than getting towed to geraldine by the olds for one days driving.
Time to start another thread and poll for how many are coming.
So are we meeting at Riks then off up the river for a trip or a trip first then meeting at riks? eitherway will be A-framing the LR and may need a tow out.
Have created an attendence poll here
