This is all I'll be doing it for, not worried about classes etc, and theres bound to be obstacles I'll opt out of. Just be good to get out and have a laugh and show eveyone how bad my driving really is  without damaging anything that is

Yeah I agree.
How about no classes , no points ,no hassels
Just four wheel drives and mud
A day of fun followed by a bbq and a night on the beers?

Well at least in the waikato area?

I know this isn't gona agree with everyone but if I go... I'm not really gona give a toss about what grade I'm in I'm going for fun... I know the guys I'm gona compete against, and to be honest I could see some of us playing our own game of follow the leader  I"m not interested in a ORE trails event, its to me about a day where I get to catch up with mates from here and meet some new mates and have some fun
Leave the organisation to a minimum, I know there are "volinteers" out there that jerry can draft in for the job  tell the truth we'd all rather be playing or chatting (or drinking  ) and make the whole day informal and fun alright have a couple of stations to start everyone off and help everyone pic there group (if you can see what each level is, it will help people pick) then have an area where everyone plays and just take turns being the leader in a game of "follow the leader" if you get a tossa who wants to take a tuff truck in the shinnys then no one will follow him through his lead so what at the end of the day the rest of that group will have fun

Well ?? am I off the mark ???

Cheers Reece

Everything is optional, the idea of these is so you learn how to do these hazards in a controlled environment, the idea is that its friendly and fun as well, could also have team events as well (one of my previous ideas)

Jerry: If its a competion there is no such thing as a "controlled enviroment"

(Or maybe I've been going to the wrong fun rallys)

Hey Wopass, maybe we could get a "almost finished" class to run in?

the CCVC ones are friendly and fun, those who want to compete do so, whereas those who want to go at their own pace do so as well, everything is optional.....

All I was after was a fun challenge event for shiny's and up, not all this politics (which incidently I usually get accused of bringing on here)

Jerry wrote:If these whingers don't like it then they can f### off, sorry I'm just really pissed with organising events and then getting negative comments back. I put in rules for a good reason, no I'm not going to unecessarily over "rule" it. most of us on here are sensible.......

Anyway where were we...keep soring out these classes and rules....

Who is this part aimed at?

Those that wanted too join the ORE club in the beginning were so anti 4wd clubs and their "political bullshit" that the last thing they were going too do was enter/run a comp, cos "goddam that would imply rules etc... "

Your quote I believe, aimed at those who whinge at not wanting a rated towhook etc to enter...

have you never played follow the leader Jerry
the leader finds a bit of fun, runs it, then parks up at the other end then the rest have a go... if they don't get there then the help starts 8) the shouted advice... the walk beside drivers the incoragement the shit  Its about being able to find the route (station) that you can get through that your mates get stuck on but with your help 8) and advice  can manage .... if they can't manage it you've got to turn around and hope you get back through  or your the one getting shit!!!

I think that covers your learning bit and provides good ole fashioned fun

 Sigh  Pages of woffle....

I guess it depends what you have in mind, but this is something we do with our club at a local level.

A fun day doing various activities, blindfold course, weaving through cones with a litre of water on the bonnet (timed), chasing a tyre down a hill, the obligitary speed section, running your LH front wheel along a few lengths of posts etc etc and those sort of events. Then at the end of the day is always a gully or bog to play in for those that wish.

In esence, we can bring along our standard shineys without rated hooks etc for the fun day then they watch or be winch bitches for the rest/others who are having a play. Finish up with a BBQ and tell the stories about the bog and how hard it is to drive blindfolded.

Wopass: Now your talking, we could have a muffled and un-muffled class and those people with air cleaners would have to run in adifferent class again.
Just think we wouldnt even get our trucks dirty, which would save a lot of cleaning time too, which as we know cuts into drinking time........

I can just imagine hearing the unmuffled roar of DB's 50......

Could be tough to beat even with a v8.....

Have you been drinking used diff oil again  ...I read this as you were complaining that the anti club brigade would not like it, I was suggesting that there are rules and if they don't like it its thier problem and they can stay at home and mow the lawn instead....

Lets just drop this part of it...
