ok weather update its probably going to be raining so its still going ahead....bring a raincoat or something......

Just a reminder we haven't run trip in here yet so I want everyone on best behaviour, there are areas that we are allowed to play and area's that we aren't. we will be shown where to go. If there are any issues then I'm going to unbolt some prado parts and start beating people with them (or give 12 hr towhook lectures). We have to stay off the dunes at ocean beach as well.

REMINDER THIS TRIP IS ON THIS WEEKEND

12 August 2007

Trip Grade: 1-2 (out of 5)
12 Aug 2007
Meeting point: Public carpark @ Wainui Beach
To get to the meeting point get to Wainui(omata) and then just keep heading thru...past KFC Bro, past the BP and then keap heading down the coast, when you get to the next roundabout and set of shops keep moving on, past the tip 10 mins down the road, the forest park is 5 mins further down.....all the way to the coast....when you see the watery thingy follow the road to the left and there is a carpark on the right which should be full of 4wd's....if you go thru the "private property" sign you have gone too far

Some optional play areas
Rated Recovery points required for those that use the optional play area's, however this is a shiny trip and I will allow non rated hooks on this trip.

This is a joint trip between ORE Assn and the Wellington Family 4x4 club
Can come back over the Rimutaka's or back the way we came, WN Family will lead it for us this time as I haven't been there for ages, will run our own trips in there after this as the landowner will get to know us. and its a good opportunity to meet another club.

the Mudzilla's don't like the sand much and either dig in or pull you to the either side of where you want to go....so it was a bit interesting going over here
