no rain, just overcast down here today :thumright:
shit what a day, good range of hazards pegged out that were managable for most, sometimes it just took a bit of attitude to get through

Ryan, I think your going to be giving redzuki a good run for his money now you've got that zuk running properly :thumright:
kept my cv's intact but alas there were a few others that came away with breakages

Here's the damage
Otherwise a really good day
Were the diff internals buggered as well? if you have trouble finding another one try TePuke Partsworld, they are specilist Zuk wreckers and really good. not sure if the 1600 diff is the same as the 2000/2500 one ie will a 2.0/2.5 diff bolt on easy and be a bit stronger and not screw your diff ratios.

This is Tepuke on TM here I think ? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 37.htm?p=2

It all seems to be there, The pinion is buggered, think I could probably get away with just a new pinion and the back piece of the case. The 1.6 has 5.12 gears which are different to the other models and they're the lowest ratio so it won't be worth getting one from one of the other models. The thing it may be worth getting depending on the cost would be one of the steel diffs. Have already asked a couple of questions to the wreckers on trademe so will see what the outcome of that is.

Thanks Jerry, really enjoyed today. A lot more interaction with the other ORE members too, rather than playing follow the leader.
I only had the one moment when the Jeep was being recovered from the boggy area and tried to turn turtle, but thanks to the recovery crew all ended up well
Cheers

Pulled the axles out to check the dammage
Blown rear diff and a slightly disfigured axle
If you're in the market for some spare axles now I have a set, got a diff head too if needed.
PM me if interested.

I just saw the response to your auction question
My diff has broken at the backing plate and the pinion is broken, The rest of the internals seem OK. Could you please advise the price for just the back piece with pinion attached in alloy. 5.125 ratio. Alternatively I would look at rebuilding it in a steel casing because of the extra strength so whats the price on that? posted by: nstacey (83 ) 1:08 pm, Mon 17 Sep
The crownwheel and pinion are a matched pair and I will not sell one without the other. Alloy diffhead with 5.125:1 internals $995.00, Complete steel front diff with 5.125 internals $ 2150.00. 5:02 pm, Mon 17 Sep
Can you put a difflocker or an auto locker/lockright in that supplies the same parts and would this be cheaper????
