Yes that is why i am making my own widebody flares out of fiberglass, and using expanding foam to make a plug...

Me thinks it'd be more aimed at being used for enabling the use of a towball mounted bikerack on when havin a rear swing away spare?

you think right. Common sense says that its not meant for towing trailers and such like but to extend the towball out on vehicles with rear mounted spare wheels so a towball type bike rack can be used.

i have sometimes thought about making a bike rack to fit directly into a haymans style towbar fitting but i don't have a need for one at the moment can't be to difficult i reckon
