Re: RUST REMOVAL....

Post by wopass »

been pretty slack the last week with bugger all done really  but slowly picking off a few of the little jobs now.

rear drive shaft modded bigger and stronger and fitted
front brake callipers were siezed solid so they have been stripped and will be getting new everything  and coated in chev orange heat paint
cage will be getting removed again for a rub down and paint the same chev orange
seats are nearly finished, just have to mod mounts a little
might do some work on the front panel tonight and get that the same colour as the rest of the truck
then do some wiring on the front to get lights, indicators hooked up

ohh the list goes on and on and on and on.... but im getting there slowly  not looking promising for the 8th for the thames round tho  see how we go

know that feeling mate, the money i had set aside from selling my old set up to buy bits for my upgrade got mostly blown on bills

will just have to hope nothing breaks to soon so i can save up for the parts i dearly need :|

04-02-09

finaly getting thru some of the jobs that needed doing, managed to get the front panel in and lights, grill, lekky fan,etc etc all in and hooked up, wired the wiper and tacho. just about finished the front hub overhaul, in the process found that the cv's are pretty worn so im leaving the front diff open for now as i dont think they will last long  also going to get my callipers finished off tonight and finish the hub so then that will be the front finished..finaly...i think.... then i can get into fabbing up the rear end :D

with that romantic subdued lighting, you should of given it a couple of blips on the throttle to see if ya could get some flame action out the pipes, now that would look rad

hahha yea i thought about that but its sitting on axle stands on the front and with no shocks in it she was rocking a bit... diddnt want to have it hoping off the stands  that would be bad!!

gonna slap the wheels back on it tonight and move it outside (if it fits out the garage door) so i can have a garage clean up to find all my tools then start on the rear end work.
