I think I'll be keeping this theme. It has fixed most of the problems.

The reason the site changed was to incorporate a whole lot of new things for it. Sure it used to work but the software was getting old and not really able to keep up. Then other sites would take over and ore would just be a memory, cant have that, have invested far far to much time in it just to let it goto the dogs.

as fitzy would say

THINGS GET BETTER WITH AGE (man i suck at that, better leave those to fityz  )

"Things get better with age" like a good wine, an old Land Rover or ORE Site.Well done Mike I bet you have a few more grey hairs after this rebuild. Don't worry about age though because ,

TO A BLIND PERSON WE ALL LOOK THE SAME,

Hi Mike, here is another bug.
When I press the "mark forums read" button, this screen appears if I do nothing further.

Hi Mike
2 Questions?
1, if i missed it (1000 apologies), why are the avatars for some of us gone ?
2, what's the best way to get an advert up/price??? :) :) :D

Question one is easy ...
Read this Ore Supporters thread

Then go here Membership and purchase ORE Supporters Membership - 1 Year

Question two
If you are talking about adverts in the Vendors Showcase go to the second link above and purchase Vendors Membership 1 - Year
If you are looking for other forms of adverts there is some discussion in the supporters thread but for a definite yes or no answer PM Mike

Hope this helps

Could we have a log-out button on some of the other pages other than just on the 'Home' page?

This upgrade is taking shape nicely Mike, good stuff.

So, lets re-cap something. To post up a screen shot (which I tried to do yesterday) I have to
1. Screen-print
2. Open up MS Paint
3. edit,
4. Save to my H drive
5. Open Photo-Bucket
6. Down-load photo drive my H drive
7. Open the photo,
8. Click on properties, copy the location
9. Go back to ORE
10. Open up a new post,
11. Paste location of photo
12. Push preview only to find out it's some random size
13. Go back to step 1.
14. Repeat, repeat again and keep repeating until I want to drive my fist through the fcking computer screen
15. Give up and go watch porn on another site

It used to be so easy

7 open photo in p-bucket
8 Click on properties, copy location

Good afternoon, Mike :-D

Could you pleaaaase change the e-mail notifications subject title?

All i see is

Hello Flyingbrick. You are receiving this notificatio

because it takes so long to get to the point.

I like being able to look at the e-mail and know what its about, EG, new PM or something.

It'd be way cooler if instead it said
REPLY TO THREAD-thread name

and
NEW PM- PM name

Just some constructive criticism 8)

Keep it up.

Hopefully I'll be putting the albums back into the site soon. I know that i've said that before but now the structure is finally there to handle it. Just imagine all the issues thats going to cause

anyway. Ive changed the theme to go for a them which is easier to read, use and hopefully works in the site better. I may change some of the colours a bit but then im not graphic designer (as you can see) so will most likely just leave it.

lets see how this works for people.

crikey, why is every second post wider than the others :?: :?:

I'm sure Bob won't have any trouble reading this size font, holy cow its huge

fixed. you may want to press ctrl refresh to see the changes though

Its as easy as, Mike, existing photos in places like photobucket stay where they are, then nothing needs to be changed.

NEW photos can and should, go into ORE photo repository and can be "called" from there for forum postings.

Well done man!! Looking good and you are remarkable patient with the comments and requests.

problem with hosting picture is the bandwith it uses
say you have 10 megs of images and 100 hits a day on those images .. that 1 gig(more or less) of traffic you have used per day
imagine hosting is horrific as far as bandwith is concerned

IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE IMAGE DIMENSIONS

This is the warning I am getting sometimes when trying to attach an image from another website to a post in ORE. I wasn't too worried about it, although did try to mention it before only to have the 'grey ghost' shoot me down.

This time though, the particular image I was trying to add to a post has been use by me before and is currently stored in the old ORE photo albums.

Why will it not let me use a pic from the ORE photo albums :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

I havent had the problem of ending up in other peoples pm's (yet) but I've had instances of clicking on threads and ending up elsewhere, its happened 3 times today, the last one I clicked on the link to answer a new pm and it took me to a random thread, the URL showed "http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/ucp.php?i=pm&folder=inbox" but I was actually at "70 series manual window regulator" thread (http://www.offroadexpress.co.nz/Forums/ ... 17&t=16141)? It happened at 8.02pm tonight if you want to look back through the logs?
