This is not a silly idea to add to it a bit don't tell the teams what track's they will need to clip the ticket on as it means they will have to attempt all the tracks to find which ones they need to do it on. also don't just have it on rovers and lookout track but on another couple of loop tracks as well (could even be issued to the marshals for the loop tracks)
you dont even need to do anything like that, the team knew they were pushing the boundaries by going and getting the code before they started the stage, thats no different to trying to get away with setting up all your winch points before you start a stage

its all about sportsmanship and actually competing in the event
theres plenty of orienteering events for those that don't wish to drive their 4x4s

The levin boys won because they had more capable and reliable trucks, more experienced navvies who new what they were doing and worked better as a team. But this event is designed to be more social and fun rather than competitive so it dosent matter who wins as long as you have a good time doing it.

Yep. we've had a few comps similar to this down south and every time the rules get tougher the comp dies cause the social guys can't be bothered as they just wanna have a fun weekend doing some real tough 4wding with plenty of laughs thrown in. Think these kinda events are the ducks nuts.

Also competing in these events gives you the chance to push the limits and really see what your truck is capable of while gaining more experience and learning tricks which could get you out of the shit on bush trips.
