hey, lets give the guy a break! at least out of all the ppl in NZ4WDA madza068 is the only one that has joined this forum to try and get our view and most importantly surport us and help us in setting up a club !! now if we keep slagging this guy off theres nothing stoping him from saying well F**k you guys and leave us in the lerch.
ok ive tryed to stay out of this now for ages but the time has come !
as stated in the polls most of us here are either in a club or not and surport the ORE club prospect. im sure that madza isnt THE person who conduct exactly what the NZ4WDA does on every subject so its no good slaging him off on the other hand you do seem to be coming back wiv only 1 response that is "you should try it " perhaps you should controll your responce to comments,
as hard as it is and tone down the winging on both sides ( you lot are worse than us pom's i tell ya

lol )
i personal am looking forward to the new club and new assication with the NZ4wdA with the recondition from other 4wd clubs around the country in a joint effort in keeping the tracks open for all who use there 4x4 for what they was designed for !!

All right, no one is to stone anyone until I blow this whistle. Even... and I want to make this absolutely clear... even if they do say", NZFWDA

I personally think you should stick around, this forum works becouse it is open... just becouse some people don't like your view isn't a reason to leave, your input is appricated by others.
This site is about 4WD'n to me... not the "Anti conformist rebel 4WD group" just becouse some of us arn't club members is no reason to exclude club members bla bla long speel about what makes this site work... |-)
If you do decide to go... thanks for the help Nick, your efforts, help and views are/were appricated :thumleft:
Cheers Reece

Am genuinely sorry to hear that Mazda068, and I sincerely hope that you have not misconstrued my post, for it was simply an attempt to bring a little levity to the dialogue.

Quotiing myself from my post on what is now Steve's thread, would like it repeated here.
Madaz,
ORE has grown to include a lot of people, the opinions of those people will vary as is inevitable with any large group of people. I'm sure you can't have expected that everyone would have rushed to support your efforts.
Many people here are supportive and interested, I personally have been 4wding for a few years but don't know much at all about the NZ4WDA and welcome your input, if only from an education standpoint.
You obviously have the passion and balls to take on the PRO role and I'm surprised and somewhat dissapointed to see you give up and leave the forum so quickly based on the comments of the few rather than the many.
I have re-read the two threads and to me, correct me if I'm wrong, there are far more posts from those of us interested or supportive than there are from those with negative opinions.
My point is that I feel sure you must come across detractors and resistance on a regular basis in your role as you have here, I also feel sure that you must be expected in that role to show considerably more fight against this resistance than you have here. I hope you read this, maybe re-read the thread and consider why you joined ORE in the first place, I'm sure those reasons are still there. Many of us welcome your input, please continue to give it.
Cheers.
Mongoose.

Ahhhh, Leithfield... the way you've written some of your posts, I dont think anybody here has a clue what planet your mind currently resides on, or takes your (granted, timely and hilarious) posts seriously!
But please dont take this is a request to stop!!! No no no, my good man, the most enjoyable part of my day is coming here and finding your latest Monty Python ravings.... brings back fond memories.....
And as for nick, sad to see you go, even if some disagree with what you have to say, sounds like you had 4wd'ers best interests at heart.

k, so that's what I was trying to say except in a hell of a lot less words.

lol!

, no
LOL!!!
What an enjoyable half hour reading this partially informative dribble?
I am all for more access, less politics to get there and as Padero said the quest for the satisfaction of getting into some insatiable mud!
But really?
What is this all about, there are alot of heated voices here and the poll shows you are more interesed in what type of vehicle we all drive.
Surley the establishment of the ORE club for those of us who relish it, and just follow the tech threads for those who don't care (or can't see why)
I sugest everybody just gets on with what we really come here for?
HARD CORE TRUCK & MUD PORN!!!!

I've just revisited this thread about the NZFWDA and it takes me back to something that was stated a while ago about clubs and their politics!
I really see little difference between what happens here and at a club meeting except that at a meeting you can look the other person in the face when you are talking about them.
I've not gone back to see what offended Mazda but it was probably unneccessary and hopefully with an apology from the author, the process of working to link ORE with the NZFWDA can continue.
Without it there are likely to be limitations on what four wheeling members can do as individuals both now and in the future. The NZFWDA does have credibility with government departments and has recently accepted an invitation to a major two day recreation "summit" meeting in Wellington. There is also an important meeting in Auckland of a wide variety of outdoor recreation organisations being hosted by Outdoor Recreation NZ at which the NZFWDA will be represented.
Ok, many of the outcomes of these meetings will probably benefit four wheelers whether they are members or not, but it's nice to be able to say "we helped "!
Stop being negative about what others are doing on your behalf and start thinking about the alternatives.

Peter, you'll find it here:

It was my comments which triggered it off, and in retrospect not one of my best posts. All I will add is that I never once questioned his drive or passion for the sport. I had also posted my number in the original post to allow him to discuss the matter with me - that offer still stands, to
anyone that wishes to discuss it (interestingly enough, no-one has taken up that offer).
Anyway, if you provide me with a contact number, or wish to call me, then I will gladly discuss it further.
