Cheers!

Cleaned some more of the Jeep today. Had the day off work. Took all the carpet out and gave it a vacuum. So much sand! Got most of it, but gave up in the end haha. Also took the door off for the first time and tried on my half doors that i got when i first got the Jeep over a year ago! They look awesome and can't wait for summer to take the roof off. Everyone likes pics:

Looks good. Any more details or photos of the half doors? Assume they are aftermarket or home built? How does the latch work? (scored some damaged full size doors which I was thinking of cutting down...)
Thanks.

Doors are silver and the frames are fairly twisted (came from a rolled '06) plus I only have the bare doors, no glass, latches or seals, etc. Only really good as scrap or to cut down.

Pretty sure they are aftermarket. When i bought the Jeep over a year ago from a dealer in Palmy, Greg on here (WRNGLR) had the half doors at his place cause he knew the previous owner. They are just wood (i think haha), and same colour and even the same silver pin-stripe down the side. Here is a couple of pics of the latches. No idea where they are from sorry.

Also got to figure out a way to turn off the interior lights when i use these doors. they don't press that button when you close the full doors to turn the interior lights off. Need to think of something to fit on the switch thingy

Thanks for the photos of the latch - look like standard slam latches. As for the door light switch, not sure if it would work with your half doors on but you can get a spring which holds the button in when the doors are off - i.e http://www.jeep4x4center.com/no-doors-l ... ee001.html

Cheers man, pretty happy with the look of the Jeep now. Not sure what is next! haha

When i bought the Jeep the dealer said the previous owner told him the Jeep was some sort of special edition (colour coded hardtop and flares and with pinstripe). I have no idea, tried googling it but couldnt see anything. Was probably lies

You have a 'Sport' don't you...?

I understood the 'Sahara's' to have a few cosmetic extras like Color Matched Guards...

Did you email Chrysler about your build sheet...?
Did that give any indication about specifics to your wagon...

When I had my TJ (with canvas roof and half doors (factory)) I just removed the fuse for the light, then with your dash dimmer you can rotate it right down and turn the interior light on and off manually.

Yip , doors are after market, Brett (2 owners ago ) made them himself, fiberglass over ply I believe, Phraza, could your light switch problem be fixed by a small piece of angled aluminium screwed to inside of door that closes on the switch like a normal door would ??? I haven't looked at mine lately to see. Also still have some bits and pieces here for yours, centre caps for original wheels, indicator stalk, and off mine a complete soft top Bow frame, I bought all the spare stuff for yours off the previous owner so I could get my hands on the bikini top, wind jammer rear window and deck cover, best money I ever spent.

cheers
Greg

Ah thats another good idea for the interior lights. That could work too! Ah yea, i sold the original rims it came with, don't think i need an indicator stalk though? haha.

Was thinking about a tummy tuck for my Jeep. Have you done one Greg?

Cheers

Na haven't done a tummy yet , have the new belly pan for one tho, just have to move the bolt holes for the transfer case mounts, it's set up for an auto box, so the holes are back further. It's on the neva neva list with heaps of other shit
