guess the pics will filter in over the next day or three.
Will see what the vid footage of the LR is like and post up if its not to embarrssing

The last mudhole I hit in third low and it managed completely cake the underneath of the bonnet and smother the carbs in thick mud. Mud is all down the intakes so off comes the manifold and stromburgs and on goes the SU's.
Awwwsommmmmmmmmmmmmeeeeeee Day. Good to see Al going hard again

V8 all the way Al , dont settle for anything less

Thats my motto from now on. Most of the obstacles i could have done in 2nd low but I kept it in first low just to hear it rev

It was a great day lots of fun, Landcruiser went really well so was happy with that.
It all went a bit pear shaped on the way home, went to help PR at the waimak and ended up with a broken windscreen and a rear diff pinion snaped in half!

First truck over uan untested part of the course. On a bad sidling angle, front right wheel went into a hole, over she went. A and B pillars and drivers door inwards about 1-2". Think the chassis may also be bent. Then I broke a damn CV

Not quite as strong as the mighty Landcruisers aye

Put them back on their wheels and keep on driving.

The landcruiser is lying in MUD, I hit hard rock. Was surprised it wasn't damaged more as were alot of others. Some guy was even surprised by the "lack" of damage.

Great day out. That mud was real thick. Got into distributor and the coil so missed some of the 2nd round but still a good challenging course (other than 1 poorly designed obsticle, poor Al). Well done to the organisation of it. They might need someone a bit more experienced to volunteer to help out with the paperwork for the next event.
