Yep. Once you are happy with the amount of camber, these washers can be welded on. Use heavy washers. Make it look nice and paint. (Black Zink-it). then W.O.F. I had the best time modifying my Suzuki.

What height and thicknes of tyres are you guys getting on vitaras after a lift. WITHOUT having to cut gueards etc. Wanting some decent fats not for extreme off roading. More just pig hunting. Still want my zuk ta look tough though.

I've got 5 door V6 springs in there. How do you measure the amount of lift?

It is 500mm from the ground to the top of the black plastic trim on the sides of the Zuk. That is with 31s, and 2" body lift fitted.

The front is not enough for 31s, I have some 1.5" spacers to fit.

The back springs are the same length, not sure of the spring rate, but it is lower in the back compared to what it needs to be (and compared to the front).

I am keeping the front, with spacers, and fitting C33 springs to the back with spacers.

I have VL shocks, and the travel is far too much for the V6 rear springs. They are not captive.

What front struts for lift have holes positioned to correct camber?

I heard somewhere on here that OME ones do, what about EFS.

I currently have strut spacers and camber bolts...band aids They don't do enough correction.

Our OME struts have in-built camber correction. But we left the camber bolts in for extra correction on the extra lift.

so at the end of all this what are the best front springs to use falcon or commy, what model. and what rear shocks bmw or commy and out of wagon or sedan?

Would like a definitive answer also please.
Too many variations and everyone seems to do something different and have to modify parts.

The cheap rear combo works fine with laurel springs. Front springs and camber are the issue. I'd go with proper lifted fronts or spring spacers.

i did a lift with springs and spacers and did a diff drop and at the end of the day and the hassel the lift kits work out a lot better and for the same price and youve got all the bits in one go

I don't think you can go wrong with the cheap rear setup. Cost me like $15 for all the bits so smokes any kit out there with similar artic etc. Means you just need to sort the front.

Different story if you wanted to go even higher though.

can u get get certifications for a 3 inch suspension lift for being able to use on the road aswell?

Just want 1" - 2" of lift. Anything more than that and it breeds more troubles.

Got some rear springs off a Cefiro/Laurel from a joker at work. Just need to get the VT shocks and the rear is sorted.

As for the fronts, GV springs and Bits4Vits spacers seems the go.

Anyone recommend using the rear axle top mount spacer for a lift of this magnitude? Or will it be OK? Cheers.

Definately recommend the rear A-arm spacer, the ball joint wont take too much stress and the extra drop with the Laurel springs & commy shocks will soon have the ball joint shagged out.

GV front springs with cut-down bitz4vitz spacers, OME front shocks with slotted holes for camber correction, Laurel rear springs & commy VL (i think) air shocks worked really well on my old escudo, wish i still had it.....

Bumping because this thread needs some love...

Got me some vl rears and a31 rears to lift my vitara and going to do a strut flip in the front so now just trying to find some commy shocks for the rear, anyone know the length of em so I don't have to pull out one of my shocks measure it and put it back in till I get the commy ones.
