Gidday from the Naki
I'm as green as when it comes to 4WD'ing so I have signed up here to soak up all the good oil I can find.
We have owned a 1994 Surf 3.0td auto for almost 2 years now and I just love it to bits.
Its in really good shape inside and out, and to that end my dear wife has told me outright I am NOT allowed to take it "bush bashing"
.
SO, I am trolling through Trademe for a cheapo surf that I can hack and bash, the big picture being a 2 door surf with the canopy lopped off, turning it into a ute without doors and adding a rollcage to play in the mud with. May keep the doors - dunno till I talk with some people in the know and learn a bit more.
I have a good mate who is service manager at the local toyota - that should help.
Anyway - I intend on joining the Mt Egmont 4wd club sometime soon but for now will just sift through the brain food here and get an idea of how it all works.
Cheers
Drew
