Hey
just wondering if anyone has done a 40-50mm body lift on a manual swb gq fitted with a factory p.t.o winch.
Looking at doing one myself and have looked through previous posts on body lifts and seen mention of bending gear lever and 4wd selection lever but no mention on how p.t.o lever is affected if at all havent had time to look at it yet any help much appreciated.

Cheers Jared

You don't need to worry about the PTO lever, it is a cable from the lever to the PTO gearing and nothing needs to be changed. 8) 8)

oh yup kool thanks also was wondering when you do a body lift do you still use the oringinal rubber mounts as well as the blocks or do you get blocks with the lift you want plus the height of the original mount?

Use the original rubber mount, and the 50mm lift block goes on top. Depending on the condition of the mounts, its often a good idea to replace them when doing the lift.

Watch the rear two mounts don't crack the body (where they sit) over time due to the extra leverage on them.

Its easy enough to repair I guess, but its even easy to prevent it from happening in the first place.

I removed a 2" body lift and 2" susp lift due to cracking the body, and replaced it with 1" body lift and 4" susp lift. Cracks in body were welded up and 3mm plate added to reinforce it ...rear two body mounts were 3mm shorter to account for the plate.
