4D56 injector pump

So DJ, Hyperlux and I had an appointment with a bit of mud yesterday, but when I backed the Paj out of the Workshop saturday night after getting the brush screen and nudge bar fitted, there's a bloody great pool of diesel underneath. It appears to be coming from the bottom of the injector pump. It only leaks under pressure, ie when the motor is running. There seems to be a small plate on the block side of the pump at the bottom that it could be coming from but it's bloody hard to see and my workshop doesn't run to an endoscope! ;)

Anyone experienced this before and do I have to take the whole front off again (just did the water pump and timing belt before the Thames LR round  ) to get it off?

Turns out that there is an O-ring behind the plate and it had gone hard. Replace the O-ring, add a bit of the good ol' 516 and we have a leak free injector pump again. What a palaver getting it done tho and not quick enough to be able to get to Laurie Sanson. Oh well, it'll be all good for the final round in any case (Not helped by farting around trying to get fuel up to the injectors then discovering I'd plugged the wrong wire to the fuel shutoff valve   Although why in gods name you would put two identical plugs that close together and both connected to the injector pump is a mystery! :? :? )
