The NZFWDA spoke to their submission to the West Coast CMS yesterday in Christchurch and believe that we got a fair hearing. Some useful questions were raised by the conservation board members sitting with the DOC staff at the hearing.

The main bulk of 4x4 related presentations from the ChCh area are for today, Friday with Timaru and Nelson still to come.

It would be interesting to hear what other views on the process are.

We have a contingent from Blenheim speaking to our submissions in Nelson on Tues next week.

Our guys spoke to the hearing panel yesterday in Nelson. Unfortunately I couldn't attend, but they felt they had a fair hearing, & the panel seemed receptive to the points made. Of course the proof will be in the next version of the draft CMS...
