Welly Trip? 1/2nd March

Post by Jerry »

OK this was supposed to be the Rallywoods hut maintenence but this is now pushed out to the 1st 3 weeks in April, concious of not overdoing rallywoods so are people keen for a normal trip there ie driving, partyup sat night etc or do we want somewhere else to go.....can't do the Aka's as the karapoti classic is on and we won't be able to get access,

we can look at a couple of upper hutt area's or 2 places in Wainuivegas, or even a looksie/play round steve watsons property (conditional on access and if we can get in the newsletter for insurance blah blah).., what about a day at Aotea???

Can I please have some thoughts or idea's?

South Coast is postponed, Rallywoods is unconfirmed and were running the risk of getting rallywoodsed out at the moment, how about Jerry finds all those pegs we brought and we peg out some hazzards at Aotea like we did last year... Mitch wont be allowed to do them coz they'll be far to easy for his trials truck but we could watch him do some stuff more of his calibre 8) 8)

It dosent take long to bash a few pegs in the ground up there (ok I know the grounds as hard as concrete at the moment) and theres some cool little hazzards and stuff that can be set up to cater for all vehicle capabilities

Having said all that I cant go coz I'm in the wairarapa for the weekend but it seems like a good option to me

Yep, Mitch looks like you are organising it, ring Henry let him know we are going in there and if its ok (as a courtesey its best to ring him....maybe organise some beer and charge everyone $1 beer tax....he's due for some beer from us...he drinks Tui according to the notes in my PDA phone), what time are people meeting you and who are you getting to bring the BBQ, I can drag out the pegs which are 1/3 paid for.....

SUNDAY ok for everyone?

More than happy to drink their beer but why are they in ccvc and never got off their butts to get in there and why do they need to have "a look" before they can be bothered to help??
Best I shut the #### up now before I piss people off
Didn't the founder of ccvc have his ashes placed next to the hut??
Frankly if they are so self-centred then I don't want to meet them. However if they are so brainwashed by their "club" then they need to be shown how our club works.

hey ...settle guys, remember we are the new kids on the block and a lot of other clubs incl CCVC have already done the hard yards....I am still a member of CCVC as well.......I haven't invited them to the previous working bees coz we need all hands on deck for the 1st 3 weeks in april which an invite has gone out....

they are helping in april they have already confirmed....

Remember CCVC were the ones that originally got access to rallywoods for us to use otherwise it will still be doc land

just for that you'd better dig out your paint brushes coz we are going to the orange hut and doing a painting bee there next after this....and then sutherlands hut

But first Jerry I want you to sort out taking me in for a trip because I don't think I can be bothered helping out if the hut is not what I want. Ok?? Please be ready to take me in on Monday morning at 6am because that suits me. If I don't like the colour of the hut then I will just stay the night and you can show me the way out the next day.
P.s I don't have a 4wd so you can drive me and pay for the fuel as well.
