Well it's officially my weekend so here's a thread for all you other shift workers
Managed to stick my Surf on its side right into a rock, winch it back onto it's wheels, hi-lift jack out to remove the A-pillar fromthe steering wheel, and hey I can drive it home
Had a good look at the wreckage Mon morn, and oh...it's stuffed, damn, phone rings an ORE association member let's me in on a whole truck (with a superb body), many thanks to him
So today I managed to strip the new vehicle ready for body swap, tomorrow will be attack the wreckage ready for body swap,
Pics tomorrow

I like the sound of that,

Good to see you sorting the Surf so quickly.
After all the work you have poured into of late it would be a shame for it not be be out there being used.

when I get some time
After this battle to get the truck going....... I may damn well give up
wish i'd sold it and bought the damn jet boat at xmas, instead I let all you buggers talk me out of it, just so I could spend thousands on the front end, then throw the whole lot down a rocky gully first trip out...muttter...mutter
It was a good day out though

Don't be so hard on yourself Tim. Your rig went bloody well, and drove some stuff it has never even dreamed of doing before.
And the front end is still good as new, (hell 1/2 of it wasn't even on the ground

)

As long as you can get the body high enough to clear all the bits, it is way easy.

It's easy as Rok said getting the body lifted is the hard bit, easy if you have a hoist to use
I drove the red wreckage into the w/s at 0900, had it all sorted ready for body lift by 3pm, had a good break for lunch (to share all you guys disgusting text message's

}, and at least an hours worth of chatting to friends/wellwishers, that means it's about a 4 hour job to rid a chassis of a body, will take me longer to reassemble as.....like usual doing some mods
It will be spoilt with a new gearbox, new clutch, dual battery set up for winch, re-wiring of electrics/relays, repositioning and larger airbox and an outlaw snorkel.
PLUS AN EXO
