I own two nissans with the same diagnostic ports and I can't find anything to read them. They are station wagons, not 4wd's (although one is 4wd).
The port is shaped like the OBDII connector, a scangauge II plugs in and lights up but cannot communicate. Nissan calls it Consult II, there are plenty of solutions on the net for Consult I cars, but nothing I can find for this one.
One car is a 98 with the QG18DE engine, the other a 2000 with the YD22 engine (navaras little brother).
Has anyone had any luck or know of any solutions?

Re: Nissan Diagnostics.
from what i have heard the petrol ones are fairly standard but the diesels require the right scanguage to work with them.

I think my nissans aren't true OBDII, which is why the scangauge II I've already got can't read them. I suspect all the wires are there, just wired up in a different configuration. Hopefully I'll find someone who's already cracked it which'll save me a lot of work.

just be a little wary of that item. its not a dianostic scan tool as they say, its just a code reader.
no idea on what vechiles it supports. sorry.
