Yeh I never did hunt out those wiring diagrams . What year is the engine from ? Pre or post 89 . Mk 2 GTI's the ignition was controled buy the computer , post 89 .
If its post 89 there are diagrams on
http://www.suzukiinfo.com/ . If its pre I will have to dig out the photo copy I have here somewhere .
I thought you mate was going to wire it up ?
Its not too hard to sort out . The best way to do it is cut all the tape off the loom , the black stuff so all the wires are exposed . You will need to reshape or shorten the loom anyway so you will have to rewind it . Then you will be able to start removing stuff . Basically tape the computer plug down and trace all its wires , when it goes to a dead end see what the conector is and trace back the other wires in the conector ( they will run to things like the fuel pump etc ) .
One thing to think about is the alt , the gti has a ribbed belt so you can't use a 413 one . If you use the gti one they are wired differently to a 413 one ( only two wires and they swap them , go figure ) , I would get a vitara one they are wired the same as a 413 and will be easier to find in the future .
I am a little busy at the moment and have no shed space to wire up a car but if you strip off all the black tape I could possibly strip down the loom to the wires needed to run the engine . You would have to post the loom up and tell me what the ecu number is so I can check I have one here as I would want to test the loom before I sent it back . Then you or a local sparky could wire it into the car .
I am away all April so do not have a lot of time , but it should only take a couple of nights to sort it out . Take a bit to remember it all

.
Either way let me know if its a mk1 or mk 2 engine and I will try and dig out the wiring diagram for it if its a mk1 . I will scan and e-mail it on monday .
Cheers
Chris

Thanks for the info the engine is a mk 1 and my good mate

is meant to be wiring it but im getting sick of waiting so i decided to make this post.
I will try and track down a vitara alt aswell.
very keen to send the loom up so you can sort through and get rid of the wires i dont need and then just get the sparky to do the rest. Name a price for the job and i could send it up in the next day or so.

How much of a hurry are you in and what would you want done to the loom ? probably not able to do anything till later next week , trying to get my zuk back together .
To get a tidy job the loom needs to be cut and spliced back together , as it heads off into the engine bay from both sides of the car . This is best done on the vehicle when you know were the ecu will sit etc . The other option is I just shorten the loom to the shortest wire and any extra wire you have you will just have to tuck away . The bad news is the crimps I use cost $1:50 each , that soon adds up .
What I could do is just strip the loom out to the esentual wires , label the ones you need to conect to the 413 loom and you can cut and splice the loom when you have it sitting on the truck . You will see what has to come out when you get it back , mid loom there is a great big conector and half the wires get cut out of it , it needs to go . This would be the best option I think .
As I said thou you need to pull off all the loom tape , the black stuff ( crappy job and it takes time ). Everynow and then you wil come across a bit just wrapped around the loom these can stay , they will hold it roughly in place . Also leave any rubber grommets on there , you will feed all the wires through one in the firewall .
If you want to send it up let me know as I will send you my addy .

Not in a hurry but really want to get it running as you said strip the loom out to the esentual wires , label the ones I need to conect to the 413 loom.
I think thats the best option.
I will strip all the unneeded tape off tonight, so if you could send your addy to me I could send it on friday and you can do it when you have the time as long as it doesent take weeks lol

Got your loom and ecu today . Currently spread out around the lounge . A little ticked off as I have just spent the last couple of hours taking all the black tape off the loom

Grrr , I have a million other things I need to get done , picking tape off your loom is not one of them . Rant over .
Anyway the ecu and loom are from a car without the EGR equipment , ie NZ new I would say . If you have the EGR you may as well block it off . I will strip the loom to EFI stuff only , meaning things like oil pressure and alt wiring will be existing 413 stuff . Most of the sensors are in the same place except for the water temp . Also are you running elec fans ? The last temp sensor on the rear of the engine on the water output is a switch for fans , so you can run them in auto . I will try and locate the plug and label it for you .
Issue could be the points as this is not controled by ecu , again will see what I can find from the loom but can't find the complete wiring diagram , only the ecu part . The loom includes the main relay and the fual pump relay , so you are sweet there . Have you sorted an electric fuel pump ?
Well do a bit more tomorrow night and see how it looks then
Cheers

yes i have the gti fuelpump that i will put in soon

Only about 1/2 hour done tonight . The injector harness is not here
I don't need it but you will . The four injectors and the oil pressure wire mearge at the left ( rear in your case ) of the engine and go into two plugs , one 6 pin and one 3 pin triangle . Make sure its on the engine .

It sill has a warrant and woud like to keep it warranted , does anyone have a g13b twincam gti in their roadlegal zuk
have seen a few in trial trucks eg lilpigzuk but none with wof???

Hi
This loom is done . If you can pass on a good day time delivery address I will get it away tomorrow ( thursday so you have it for the weekend . Will then pm you once you get it back and look at it

. It just looks bad . Only 6 wires to conect to make it run , easy . Will be able to talk you through wiring it up , bit by bit .
Cheers
Chris
Grrrr . your email got caught up in the spam filter . Sorted . Is the addy you send god for a day time delivery . Yes or no , if no e mail a day time one to the e-mail I gave you .
