Hi All ,

I have 50mm longer coils on my 4wd now but they are has hard as a rock, From what I have been told that there are 3 types, Hard , med and soft.
The sites I have been on dont say what they are just how long they are,

Any one know where is the best place to get a set of 65mm coils rated at med.

Graham :)

I'd find someone that sells Dobinson coils, and get them to ask the Distributors what they recommend for the weight of vehicle, type of driving etc etc. I have found if the retailer doesn't ask questions like this, they are not worth spending your money with.
I ran tough dog, which were horrible, EFS, which sagged unevenly within a few weeks (but they were quite nice both on/off road) and I now run my old 75mm dobinsons.

I'd be interested to know as well. Keeping an eye out for some coils for the safari at the moment. Bugger all around though.

You can get Dobys from Autolign in ChCh 03 3770660.. I run EFS 60mm in my saf but am not happy with rear being lower than the front (thats with 30mm spacers as well)
Dave... Are you happy with the Dobys?? how long have you had them in??

When I got my Dobinsons, I went straight to Glen Dobinson in Aussie to work out what I needed. Don't bother with the clown at AutoLign in NZ, he just wants to sell you a set off the shelf that may not be suited to your setup.

Once Dobinson themselves spec the correct coils, get AutoLign to bring them in with their next shipment.

I can't recall who my Dobi's went to in the end? Either Dodzee or DaveM?

I run OME, and although I am not too happy with the extra height or lack thereof, I am happy with their ability to articulate, cushion a hard ride etc. I have gone down the replacement thought, and after reading this, I think I will go with some coil spacers to get a bit more lift for larger tyres.

been running maxi traks in my saf for 15mths cant really fault them, only thing i had to do was put 30mm coil spacers in the front cause i fitted a winch and new winch plate and it dropped the front end down a bit, got dobsons in the farm safari running 35's etc..they started to sag within 6mths and its done less work than mine and my safari still sits higher
if you are keen i know someone that is selling some OME coils
