Hey guys

Im pretty new to most of this. ive got a pretty much standard 1988 suzuki escudo. taken it a few places since i got it a few months ago

Im keen as to go on a proper trip now but need to sort out some tow hooks first. ive bought some proper ones already but decided to get them put on properly instead of trying it myself

Does anyone know any good places that would do it in wellington? how much would i be looking to pay roughly?

Cheers

Dylan

Dunno too many workshops down there, but try Grant Guy Motors for a start. They are not too difficult to install, I have done 4 zuki's to date, but you will need to reinforce the chassis, as I have seen some fitments (not ones done by me) where the chassis deforms due to the stresses placed on the mounting point.
Something to be aware of, put a front and rear skidplate on too, the rear one to protect your fuel tank (just as Matt), and the front to protect the front cross member, also, bin the auto hubs, they will shit themselves, and in the worst place too. Other than that, the zuki is not a bad weapon of choice.
Have fun :D

Go and see stinky (Marty) at Wellington towbars at the bottom of vivian st in the cbd, hes done quite a few zuks and can probably talk you into having some of his flash protection bars made up for it too

funny you say that. ive already had to get the front crossmember fixed for the last warrant, plus the fuel tank has a huge dent in it now too. guess i better get onto the hubs before i break them too...
