LJ 71 Rear diff with discs required to replace drums
Anybody have advise or know of parts for sale that will change over from drums to discs on the rear of a LJ71 Prado 1987 SWB Toyota.

Re: LJ 71 Rear diff with discs required to replace drums
I havent done a rear disc conversion myself but the calipers to use are mid 1980's subaru leone front ones, they have the handbrake mechanism attached (yep the leones have the handbrake on the front calipers) and there isnt much modifying to reconnect your existing handbrake cable to them asuming your handbrakes on the rear wheels and not on the rear of the transfercase.
You can put some front disc rotors onto the back and the only other thing you'll need is for someone to make/cut some brackets to hold the calipers.

Drum brake or Drum handbrake????
I have rear discs on mine but the stupid drum handbrake setup, looking at geting a plate made so suburu front calipers bolt straight on (which include the handbrake)
