Steering shaft? As in from the steering wheel to the steering box?? if this is the case. yes, the 2wd ones are a bit longer. I have put one in my truck as I moved the steering box forward when I put it in.

When you do it, you may need to swap the rubber end over. You know the rubber type flexible coupling. I had to do it on mine. I can't recall why now though.

Steering shaft from a ln61 (IFS) is longer than a steering shaft from a ln 60 (beam) by about 50mm, if you do a body swap like I just have you need to swap the whole steering column as the IFS one is shorter
You can buy a 2wd steering shaft and shorten it down to the length required *NOTE* must be shortened properly for on-road certification.
