Rebuild or Upgrade

Well my G13a Shat itself on the weekend.
Was driving to a mates place and suddenly lost power.(No loud bangs though) Nursed it to his place sounding like it was running on 3 cylinders. Checked the leads, coil, distributer cap, plugs,timing, carb, air and fuel all ok.
Did a compression test last night and found that Numbers 1 & 4 were down to 140psi and numbers 2 & 3 wouldn't even register on the dial
I'm going to pull the sump and head tonight to check how much damage has been done.
Is it worth re-building the G13a, or will it work out the same time and money wise, to just upgrade to a G16a
What do you guys reckon???
