I posted details on the forum late last year where to pick up aftermarket solenoids for $180 from an industrial supplier. 24 volt to. Do a seach, it will be under Albundy's posts. You won't get an original, I tried and went the aftermarket way.

Not sure if you found Al's old post, if not these guys have suitable solenoids, may or may not be what Al ran.
They are what the ozzy boys are using, and proving popular and reliable, and you only need one, not 2.

went to mac valve up here and they made a solinoid up for me , paid $86 + gst a whole lot better than nissans $470

sheeeeet mate, you got ripped. Aftermarket is less then half this price and they work better too.

Isn't that the actuator in the pic? I'd make sure you make a plate to protect it from rocks etcThe solenoids are under the bonnet

that sounds right, soliniods i have, actuator is pushed in on the end pipe bent, will it still work?

I have seen some pretty bent ones that still work, but them I've seen some with little visible damage and they don't.
Not sure whats involved, but you may be able to swap them over to see if the damaged one works?
Just wouldn't want it to partially engage and risk breaking something.......

Mine looks a shit load more beaten up than that and works fine,I need to put a cover over it...at some stage.
