Hi
Thanks to those who have replied to my Newbie post. Thought I would ask the Nissan 'experts' this one?
Am keenish on a 94-95 Terrano auto. The 27td sounds sound!! A few comments about later Nissan 3l TD being dodgy? Especially ZD30?
Couple of quite appealing 96-97 Terranos on TradeMe. 96 R3M-R has 2.7 (I presume same 27td), the 97 G3MR has 3.2 engine. My question is "Is this the dodgy one?" I cannot seem to find any spec details on terranos of this era to help me.
Any comments appreciated. T
hanks in advance :D

The 96 to current terranos/pathfinders do not have full ladder chassis. Which means you will have alot of trouble fitting tow hooks, bullbars etc. You should be sticking to 95 and pre this year. I would suggest 92-95 as they had the rust issues sorted by then and they got better interiors, ie better dash.

I've got a 93 V6 Terrano that would make a real good toy for someone but probably toooooo far away for you.
3.2 motor is OK, the 2.7 is basically a Safari motor with 2 cylinders cut off so that gives you an idea of potential!!

I've always thought that a 95- Terrano would make a really good project for coil overs, big HP full internal rollcage / space frame. Could be made light and strong due to no chassis! A HUGE amount of work though!!!!!!
