Removing the starter moter on a Surf

Post by dazza85 »

What are the tips and things to watch out for when trying to remove the starter on a '91 2.4l Surf
It's a LN130 body, automatic and still has the EGR system in place ( but not for long )

I have located the bottom bolt but can't find the others - How many am I looking for ??

Does anybody have one of these motors sitting on the ground that they could take a photo of ??

Any help would be apreicated

the starter will have 2 bolts holding it to the bellhousing one self taped into bell housing one nut and bolt, 1 nut that holds main power feed on the top of it under a rubber cap and a plug for activating the starter wich is right next 2 it both seen from on top this is a prick of a task as theres no room to get yr hands in! then its a tricky bit getn out of the engen bay
it takes 2 mins on my body lifted ln106 easy as nothn like goin it on a surf
