All fixed.

Just edit it to see what I did. You have to right click->Properties on your photo in your albums to get the actual photo address to put in the forum.

Looks good, reckon its enough to win that trophy of yours if we ever get round to organising an event for it 8)

ha thanks mike ....... it good to get it finished . took it out for a shake down and test run on sunday .out at my mates farm lots of mud and rocks . and it turns out that a 3 litre engine might be to much for the front half shafts broke both of them and i think an engine mount aswell but have to lift the engine to check that one out .but the good news is that it is certed.... and all the suspension mods work very well lots of travel gotta love those falcon springs . ANY ONE GOT A SET OF HILUX HALFSHAFTS FOR SALE :D :D

*gulp*....
Sounds like if they break with a 6' then the 8' will surely spit them too..

And thats the same size tyres I am looking at for the SAVEROs or MUDZILLAs in 33x13.5x15.(those tyres and rims on your truck just look magic :D )

Any idea how the wheel bearings will hold up??

Just curious, as I'm getting close to putting my box's of bits together and was wondering if its gona sit the same
(jsut got to finish machining the new steering arms)

Try Wopass for a set of axles, I sold him my spare axle and I think he has only used the swivels and hubs... :?

well DE-RENGED the cost gee the cost of my suspension lift what a question where do i start ok......the falcon springs $ 40.00 s-hand then fit your original springs in to the front i had to make all the mounts for this aswell the cost of the steel and bolts to make up all the new spring hangers phuck might of cost $ 180.00 ( you can buy new front - rear spring hangers from BNT for around $ 46.00 +gst a set thats 2 one for each side) as for the steering that will depend on what you do wether you go for cross-over steering or stay with the norn ( is yours IFS or solid axle ) but if you go for cross over steering my way cost about $400.00 and that includes all the steering arms getting cut + shortend + you have to get the steering rod threads cut in the lathe as its an oddball thread . then you have to get the drive shaft lengthened cost me $ 140.00 aummmmmm the rear mounts cost me $ 40.00 for the lot ...................but heres the good news mazda bounty U-BOLTS FIT THE REAR DIFF so just buy them dont bother getting them made .....i think steve makes a lot of these parts . hint hint you doing a body lift kiss good buy to $ 120.00 for spacers and longer bolts so if you add in your time + a certed welder + longer shocks add an extra $800.00 and it might be close hope this helps if you want to talk just call me 03-6148727 as there is a lot of info i have not mentioned . i type to slow and the wife is grtting sick of me useing her as a dictionary

:? Opps I ment how high...

Heres what I've done on mine to date
New front X member made from 6mm thick 100x50 box with dropped hangers made from 6mm plate with the extended shackles and rear 2 front leaf spring swop giving me a 150mm lift
Have moved axle forward 80mm gone to custom X-over hi-steer arms (machining them at the mo) Surf power steer box recessed into chassi (keep all of my steering lock) XD falcon springs out back (redrilled to keep axle where it is)
Got a fully recon 5m-geu and double transfers (thanks mike awsome adapter kitset) :D :D I'm really looking forward to getting it all together!!
This will make you laugh from the original truck I started with the only bits that are still there is the cab, a transfer case and the rear springs now on the front  and I've had to get certified for the welding I've done  Don't think it was as good a bargin as I thought
Some day I'll sort the cam and post some pics.... not much to look at just lots of piles of stuff  but soon..... :D :D
Still don't know if I'll body block it or not I want to keep the weight as low as pos, if you could post some pix of you twisting it as your the same syspension as me

Cheers Reece
Ps thanks for the tip on the bounty Ubolts I'll do that!

if you do the u-bolt thing you have to re-mount the shocks , if you use the mounts for sale in the on-line shop to go inwards rather than front and back can you use your existing shocks??? :? :? :? :?

well it not a broken half shaft it a shattered crownwheel and pinion ......... :( i think i fitted the wrong ratio diff when i started the SAS ......................i had a look at the data plate on the fire wall and it says that the axle is a w56/282 so i have just pulled the old IFS diff apart and it is a 4.3 ratio and the one i fitted is a 4.5 ratio so it no wonder it has broken ...can i fit the older IFS ceownwheel and pinion in to my solid axle diff head !!!!!!!!!!

Easy, use a rear bolt winch (bolts on using the back of the winch not the bottom) I think warn make some like this... :?
If you find one like this, then to make the killa mounting, weld some 4mm or thicker plate to the front and back of the cross members drill some oversized holes for the winch mounting bolts and weld in some crush tubes to stop your cross members crushing and bolt up your winch
The only tricky bit is you might have to put a spaccer in behind the lower Xmember to bring it out even with the top

Or you could get some 6 or 8mm plate and make up a nice cradle for it to sit in and then fashon a bar to go around it, but that rear bolt winch sounds like a great idea!! Wish i had that on my ramsley!!
