Well after a couple of months of very slow movement on the project (re: pending wedding and apparently "important" house renovations), we (the old man and I) have cheated a little and bought a certified Ute. After weighing up the huge rust repairs and the cost of what we paid for the first one, it was decided (when the second one came up) that it would be far easier to start from a clean base. The Ute conversion on this one isnt the prettiest and it hasnt been bobbed so those will be the first two areas of concern. Few other small issues to tidy up for a warrent.
The only downer about the second one is someone thought it would be a good idea to put an RD28 diesel in to power it 8O This coupled to a dodgy clutch does not add up to blistering performance

so the P76 may find its way into the hole in the fairly near future
Hopefully we should be able to make something decent out of two...
cheers
