Went up the ashley today with the 4wd corse which was realy good, but attemting a water crossing the fan bent foward and chewd up the radiator

. the fan is just mounted on the front of the engine.
What is the bes option here? get the radiator re- coiled or fit a new one with an electric fan?
whats going to be beter in the long run? and what costs are involved?
any advise would be appreciated.
cheers mike.
P.S thanks mike for the tow home

Mike's SJ413 kept pace with 2x Surfs and a Patrol in fact it went where one of the Surfs & the Patrol didn't.
It was a great example of how well a small, inexpensive, SWB 4WD can do.
Excluding the radiator damage Mike & his Suzuki did really good (in my inexperienced opinion)

i think from memory the 413's have a solid engine driven fan, remove that and get a Viscous fan for it, so when you hit water and the engine is pulling revs the fan will actually stop and the viscous fan hub will spin... i think that makes sence ?

The fan in it is already a viscious one.

Yea from what most people say, my best option seems to be an electric fan.
What is involved in putting one in? dose it just swap over with the old on or what?
and what elctrics need to be run for it?
thanks mike.
