In my Photo in "coils in a surf" Shane made a comment about my body mount springs.
Because of very rough and tough 4 wheeling I used to to have cracks appearing in the body. To solve the problem I bought longer 8.8 bolts and fitted Holden Valve springs to all the body mounts. These have been in place for about 5 years now with no new cracks appearing. I have also been through 2 certifications with no problem.

Body mount springs
Never say die, up man and try
Re: Body mount springs
Thats bloody interesting.
Anyone else done it?
Ive got the original rubber bushes on top of steel blocks. There is no discernible difference in in-cabin harshness or vibrations normally associated with solid blocks. Mine does sway a little though.
Does it sway at all? What i mean is, can you fell the body moving separate to the chassis?
Tim.

No the body doesn't sway at all. All it does is take the sudden impact shock off the body mounts which stress the body.
