Re: 60 series diffs wanted
what are they worth?
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
well? not sure really it would depend on what they are ie I would pay more for ones with lower ratios or locked or lsd and it would depend a heep on condition ie camber angle being out on fronts weather they have been fitted to a off road truck and need a full rebuild and weather they have been fitted to anything else already ie have the mounts already moved once. (I will need to redo mounts to suit) so I guess tell me what you have and we can go from there

Re: 60 series diffs wanted
The 60 series diffs are only about 100mm wider than a 70 series I think, you could pretty well acheive that with wheel spacers and/or having the centres flipped in your rims?
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
I have a 60 series front axle housing less hubs (knuckle to knuckle only) I'd sell. But I agree - it's probably not worth it for you. It's about 100mm wider than the 40 series, so I think only about 50mm wider than the 70 series. The 60 series rear end made a massive difference in stability on the 40, but I didn't do the front because the spring perches need to go on the diff pumpkin. On a 70 series I think you have the same problem with even less benefit. Better to go 80 series which are wider still.
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
i have a set of 55 series axels, I have no idea of width
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
I know where there is a set up here in Kaeo. They dont have the tierod or drag link. ( took them when I got the steering box for my project) they have been sitting a while and need new rotors, and probably a seal and bearing rebuild. I have no idea what ratio though. If you are interested let me know and I will talk to the owner. He also has a set for a 70 series and a hilux as well.
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
I think I saw a cheap 60 on TM yesterday..... will try and find it again...
70 series prado (KZJ78) and 90 Series Prado (KZJ95)
Re: 60 series diffs wanted
problem with 80 series is cost, I have wheel spacers fitted at the moment and it has stopped my inner gaurd rub but not really happy with having them on as it just adds that extra strain to the bearings and make steering in rutt's even harder
I will posibly persiver for now and look at getting a higher powered power steer pump if it's posible? Tryied to buy some 60 series cable lockers complete last week on Trademe but some guy in welly wanted them more than me and I had to stop bidding at $2250 for fear my wife would kill me
nevermind, I have an ARB on its way for the front hopefully I will be able to get it in before Rallywoods. speaking of which I better register and book accomodation somewhere.
