hi graham.
a mate of mine has some on a cruiser (i think. a 'heavy' truck anyway).
he says they are the best tyres he has used so far, brilliant offroad, mud, grass and sand. also he reckons they wear really well and dont make too much noise on road (less than wrangler mt/r's anyway).
keep an eye out though, pirelli have been doing 'specials' on these tyres lately so it may be worth hanging on for a few extra weeks and see what happens in june???
hope this helps a bit.
p.s. 45,000km and still good tread he tells me. :)
cheers

I had a set for a short time and yes they worked very well in soft mud. the lugs cleared very fast and in ruts there at home to.

very good choice of tyre mate.

They work pretty OK. Soft compound though so wear out real quick, run dfferent tyres on the road if you can. I found them good on wet rocks and clay because of their soft compound. I went into Barn Bay down past Haast 3 year ago in the terrano on 31x10.5x15 pirelli's, never got stuck. Going back this year in the saf on 35x11.5 Silverstones......yeeeeah :D :D They dig ptetty well n mud too and clear it. Remember thouh, you will never get the perfect tyre.
