G'day,

Request for the link here prompted me to actually join up instead of lurking.

Link to the LDxx (20 & 28) is pasted below. It is a bugger of a link as it loads one page at a time bit it appears a fairly good rendition of what appears to be the original Nissan document.

http://asavage.dyndns.org/Nissan/displa ... Page=front

This information was sourced from the following US based forum on Nissan diesels and provides quite a resource of info but within a US context as many of our donor vehicles are unheard over there.

Enjoying the ORE forum and glad to have finally joined up.

Ciao,

Phil

yup there is Bob, i came across a site that i can upload the file to, then any 1 can download it but i have to check on the site for where it states how long it will stay on their server, i dont really want to put it up n then find that 6 months down the track that it isn't available,

now for uploading it to ore well Mike can u give us a idea if it can be uploaded to the site for every 1 to pull down when n were they needed, i know this might not be possible due to traffic restictions ie uploading speed from ur end n then of course the speed the person gets to be able to download it, the file has a size on disk of 16.2mbs.

now jst to let every 1 know i can & will be able to upload it to a file share site that every 1 will be able to get it from, i'm jst not sure how long it will stay there, but also i wont be deleting it off my comp so if any 1 ever needs it send me a txt (the no's belowin the sig) or drop me a pm n i can upload it again

P.S. i will also send mike a pm to ask him about gettin the file hosted on ore

Cheers Dave

If you send it to me I will convert it to an unprotected PDF and then any body will be able to open it as PDF viewer can be downloaded for free. It also makes it much smaller.

How is everything going getting this manual converted to PDF?

I can also convert the document if necessary. I do however have a limit on my email inbox so would need it sent in say 3 lots so I don't get the inbox choking.

I'd like an electronic copy if possible so I then have an e-copy of it.

Loonez, did it help with any engine work? I am just waiting to get enough motivation to give my LD28 a tune-up in the tappets etc.

Hey Guys,

ok update no i havent got around to doin much, had the flu which hasnt bothered to piss off at the mo, but i did have a go at converting it to a pdf, n the results were worse over all then what they were for the 2003 word document,
basically the manual is online as pictures n not the scan n convert text like i know can be done n there are 101 pages (well mines 99 but yea i have all 101 pages) now the first pdf i did ended up being 28. ?? basically 29 mb's n it lost some of the quality of the pictures, i went n created a pdf in another program n that only got it down to 25mbs but it had the worst quality ever u cud hardly read the writing.

now after i post this im going to go upload it to an online storage server n well ill remember to check wether or not it stays there for a while, but it will be in 1 file n any 1 can dl it thru u'r internet browser, i have also mad a word pad version i just have to find where i put that file, 3 days ago i wiped my copy of windows off n installed a fresh copy n all my stuff is all over the place so yea if i havent found that word pad version can sum 1 kick my ass n remind me

now any 1 can dl it n have fun doing wat ever but yea u will have to have microsoft word 2003 to get the version i will be uploading at the mo

cheers all

Dave
