Recommended Shocks for BJ73

Have stuffed a shock after going to the Rallywoods training day, they look pretty old but surprisingly they worked pretty well - even though they look like pretty smallbore items. It doesn't appear that its had a suspension lift.

Can anyone make some recommendations for replacements, this will be used for both road towing (big heavy car trailer plus 1000kg car or sometimes dirtbikes) and 4wd trips like Rallywoods etc.

I see that 4wdbits have Rancho 9000's, these look pretty good to me but a bit more than I was hoping to spend after the first 4wd trip! But these look like they would be good because of the adjustability ie can set to hard in rear for heavy loads etc - are they any good/should I just go for some standard type shocks?

What about cheaper alternatives?
How much should I look at spending for something decent?
Are adjustable shocks necessary?
Good Suppliers?

Thanks

Cool thanks mate, had a look and its a little bit cheaper than 4wdbits as long as no shipping cost from Aus.

Anybody else know of good suppliers? Koni? Munroe?

Go have a talk to Rob from Naenae Tyres, he has a nice 350 powered FJ70, sells shocks etc and his prices are always fair to say the least

Cheers guys, for some reason I wasn't getting the email notification for this thread.

Going to go check out the Naenae place on weekend if they're open. :P

And on Saturday mornings you may have to listen to MrO talking shit, or has he been fired already

Better to come to Rallywoods and talk to the man himself
