Took Friday off work and went away for a weekend fishing. Had to come back early on Saturday as we filled both our 100ltr chilly bins with 8 fish all caught on the Friday in the first few hours
Check out this shot. Let me know what you think about this catch, my best Puka yet...

From Wikipedia...
"Hapuka live in loose groups and tend to stay in one locality for lengthy periods, and seem to prefer rock pinnacles. In warmer parts of their range they move into shallower waters in the winter to spawn and this is when they may be seen by divers, of which they are unafraid. In colder southern waters this migration is reversed - the fish move offshore to spawn in the winter.
Hapuku may live to at least 60 years."

Yip, pound for pound they are one of the strongest and smartest fish.
65lbs is a mint fish Ben. Hopefully I'll be able to join you in the 65lb+ Kingi club sometime this year.

found a pic of you and your tittys...

very well done mate.
will have to take you up to the top of coro some day and target big kings LBG style, way cooler than in a boat.

Hahaha! Thought you were joking about the mag being next to the tity ones
Cheers dude, I'd definitely be keen to try top of Coro for some big Kings. Haven t done alot of LBG fishing but I have got a mint setup for it - 8ft Tuna rod with TLD25 reel spooled with 25Kg Nylon.
Looks like its putting on weather more suited to 4x4 at the mo - better sort my starter motor.
