Hows it Going...

Well I finally managed to pick up my own truck by importing one, it just happened to be the second to last imported into the north island before the rule changes....just in time. The safari came with a winch, snorkel and 2" lift kingsprings with ironman shocks (which were good for absolutely nothing)

Over the last couple of months I've:
Fitted 75mm lift EFS springs and shocks
Tubbed the guards all round
Fitted 35" creepy crawlers
Recond the injector pump

Only done one real trip with it but once the uni holidays arrive I should be out and about.

Heres some pics but the forum keeps cutting them.

Welcome. Where abouts are you from? Put it in your details so we all know.
Those photos look like Thompsons track. Am I wrong?
Truck looks good.

Jase.

Spot on there knowing it was tomos. It went well but was difficult to clear the tires of that sticky mud through the pines.

The tests I've done with the saf on my farm have shown good stability and articulation. With the 75mm alone it wouldn't fit 35's. Had to tub at least the rear of the front guards and the centre/rear of the rears. Also grind the stupid little square eyes out of the rear guard. The tires always tried to fold the lip out at full compression.

I'm from Hamilton also but i'll chuck in my details.

cheers
Doug...
