Where to get exhaust system done?

hey ,does anyone know of a cheap place to get a exhuast system done on with hilux in chch or nearby,cheers

I'm going to get mine done next week and was going to go to pit stop as they have done a good job on other cars of mine. My other car cost about $800 from the turbo back but that was an easy system to install and was nothing fancy in the muffler department

save yaself some grief and make it your self..mine cost me $650.00 and in the end I bought a mig and changed it to how I wanted it to be..(should have done that in the first place..)and after that you have a mig to make modds with..

I second that... talk to Ben at Rangiora Exhausts (behind Repco, opposite The Warehouse)... hes a 4WD man so he knows what he's doing with them...

dito, you will get what you want , I did mine and it cost me $250 for mufflers , bends wnd some pipe and it only tookme a coupple of hours to do it and at the end I had a whole new exhaust

nice idea doing it yourself but I would have to learn to weld, learn to bend pipe buy a welder and pipe bender and probably destroy $2000 worth of pipe and gear before I get anything near what I want, let alone do the whole thing to a professional standard, but if someone feels like teaching me for a couple of doz beer I wouldn't mind learning

Just a little hijack of this thread but anywhere reasonably priced to get an exhaust done in Auckland (northshore) from the extractors back for a vitara. Not road legal so loud isnt a problem except for me and the passenger.


Have a small resonator (or muffler) so would just need a length of pipe etc.
