hi all,does anyone kno where i can buy just the reciever of this particular setup?ive called a few shops and they say u cant buy them and frankly werrent very helpful about it at all,or has anyone made one up before?along with a cutom tongue to get the ball at the right hieght?im thinking thats going to be the easyist way to go about it

Sold my 1985, BJ74 MWB Landcruiser, rear locker, 33" MTs, snorkel, PTO winch, solid bars all round, spotties, AM CB etc.
Now just a 1994, 1kz Surf, pretty standard.

hey mate

I modded and lifted my existing Hayman Reece receiver tow bar as high as I could mount it, to re-gain my departure angle.
I can post pics if you want.

Then I brought one on these from Best Bars in Manurewa. (Adjustable Drop Tounge)

Best Bars are a really good bunch of guys to deal with and they can custom fabricate, design stuff for you, and know tow bars inside out.

Theres some one on trade me selling hayman reece tow bars at the moment . fully equiped sell them as well ( i think :roll: )

cheers ubz,i knew there was something out there,altho i have to say when i went there they were just really unhelpful,but clearly they do sell what im looking for,um,did u buy just the reciever and mount it or was urs a proper bar which u then modified?and cheers bigbear,ill kp an eye out

oh and cheers fweddy,i looked every where on there sight and couldnt find that,mhm must have had my eyes shut lol,cheers tho

its only an insert for a pintle to connect into tho, not a tow bar. I'm thinking of making a set up that I can swap between nothing, tow bar, or pintle

I modded my existing bar to lift it into the place the rear bumber used to be

mhm thort that might be the case,looks like ill be custom making something,do u mind measuring the internal and external dimensions of the reciever ubz?im guessing its 60*60 external and pos 52*52 internal but would relly like to confirm,also ive still got ur spring pad,do u want to arrange a time for me to come drop it off and gve ya some beers?u could also check out my ball joint spacers and how i got them to fit ,thats if u havent got yours in yet 0273242055
