hey , my cruiser has sagged on one side my money at the mo wont allow me to get new setr of springs just yet.
I have been advised i can level it back up by adding a short leaf to the front and rear of the sagging side.
anyone have any leafs lying around that could help?

My other thoughts are i could remove a leaf from the higher side, and get some 50ml extended shackles To get it a little higher.. current springs are OME
And its a 87 swb Cruiser bj70

Maybe try Pick A Part in Lower Hutt? Not sure on the price for springs but last I was up there I saw a 60 series lwb cruiser and some other stuff.

Or you could get a bit of extra life (and lift) from your old springs by visiting the nearest blacksmith & get them re-set. I also added an extra full-length leaf to support the old ones, and removed a short one to soften the ride. From memory it cost about $300 for the full set, and has worked well for me so far (2 years later).

i done that, worked well and cheap

mine sagged on the passenger side after every bump.then one snapped dont leave it to long

Basics i see you are in wellington .. where did you get yours reset?
does anyone know anywhere i should try

is it sagging front and rear on the same side? I don't want to sound out of touch but have you checked to make sure you have not damaged your sway bar link rods? as when mine broke it would sit low on one side.

Don't know if you have ever seen it done, but you can also fit helper coils in between the spring pack and the chassis rails. I have them on my old 60 series and they helped keep the bum up and level. Mine came out of a Datsun 120y. Just a thought any way, as it is really cheap, and even helps the ride a little.

OR do what I did..(I had a NEW OME set and it sat wrong) I pulled 3rd leaf out of both back and switch them..left to right and right to left..it made it sit nice and level..also removed 4th leaf both packs rear..sit good now and feel is great..cheerz

i got mine done at inghams (i think thats there name) in lower hutt, just south of fully equiped on the same side
