Hi Adam,
I'm in, Al is keen too, I went in this mud plug last year as a co pilot, was in a landcruiser repowered with a V8 international fire engine motor :!: :!:
huuuuuuuuge torque :!: but haven't heard from him this year, I'm keen to come along for the day, don't want to compete tho, their rules could be better :? the classes should be either road legal or non-road legal, the minute you start drawing the line at single lokkas and 33 inch tyres, you might as well kiss half your competitors(and profits) goodbye,
what hope has a road legal truck got against a tube buggy :?: :?:
I think the rules should be, if you've got a w.o.f you're in one class, if not you're in the other

Quite like the sound of those rules  I wont be able to come along and watch this time as Ill be in OZ damage controlling after Als partying

I was with Tom at last years and to see all the trucks is a real inspiration to get yours going. Although I thought the course was a bit to easy the first half of the day. Hopefully its better this time. Someone take some pics for the site

Catch a ride with me if you want Adam, or we could go out as a group. Still not sure on all the rules. What I'm thinking is go out early, check things out and if it's not too late to enter and the rules are ok, we could still enter. Will take the old motorbike stackhat with me just in case.

cool.. was thinking of starting at the waipara river and going down stream to the mouth, south on amberly beach and up the kowai River either the north or south branch.. dependent on time north branch is longer .

We can avoid the beach all together and travel on the road to the kowai if prefferd.

thinking of entering the waipara river at the top in the Gorge, here there is some large rocks to navigate around / over.. and from there onwards its relatively easy but of course more "technical" options can be taken.. out on to the beach which can be differcult depending on weather and River conditions, salty lagoons and soft gravel/mud pose a hazzard (well for some anyway :P )

kowai River is mainy easy going just some parts of soft gravel not much water, would be a relaxing way to finish the day.

thinking of doing this on the sunday next weekend.. anything welcome aslong as it has recovery hooks/ gear

Let me know what you think ?

I'd be keen to have a look around down that way, depending on the day/time, and as long as diesel prices don't go up any more!
