Q/Bd Photos, not dial up friendly 70+photos

Post by curly12 »

Well sorry it has taken so long. I have another 600 or so photos, so if you want anything sent to you PM me :D :D :D

It all started at this place here
Image

The 2008 Q/bd Trip for
Image

The first morning started off cool and calm, as we made our way to the Doughnut Hole
A collection of smiling faces was the order of the day
Image

Image

Image

Image

And the biggest smile award goes to...............
Image

Is that the Kat in the Hat?? :?:
Image

The Mighty Whale
Image

The water was rather cold
Image
But that didn't stop Taz01 completing his usual trick
Image
Which resulted in this
Image

We then split into groups and headed in seperate directions

We tackled Wacko and had no problems climbing out of the mudhole
Image

Image

Although this did result in some issue's with Jumper's electric's   again
Image
Which resulted in a two hour tow back to the Green Hut.

After lunch we swapped areas and tried our luck on different ground
The afternoon concluded with a run up the ramp back at the Airstrip

Just to prove that Bubba did more than stand around like a poser, here he is
Image
Sorry, I meant here
Image

I let Coxsy run my 40 series up the ramp
Image

And here are the result's.............. :D :D
Image

Much to Nick's credit he put the Zuki up the ramp and didn't roll it  (maybe I should of let Nick run my 40 up there instead......................)
Image

Anyway the afternoon concluded with everyone relaxing and reparing broken wagons and ego's

Image

Image

Image
It isn't that cold down here...
Image
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Jerry repairing his thingy
Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

We had a surprise appearance from a stranger call "Mike"
Image
He ran around and took a few vid's before dissapearing into the night (we know what you were doing on Q/Bd weekend    and it wasn't 4wding................)

Next morning was fine and crisp
Image

Image

We made our way to the gate to meet up with the other day trippers.
Image

But for some the day was over before it began..........
Image

The Men in Coats ran around looking important and making sure no one got lost or left out
Image

So with 31 vehicle's we headed off into the trees
Image

And into the Ruts........
Image

Image

Image

Image

Take note of the young fella's driving style. Just shut you eyes and go for it
Image

And then lunch
Image

Where is Taz01???
Image

It was great that Mark parked the Nissan in the creek, next to the stuck Landrover, so they didn't feel left out
Image

Then into the Slippery Forest and the hill climb. Paul gave it his best and it is evident that he still must have oil in his motor.
Image

Image

After a play in the mud we headed back to the Rallywoods and the Green Hut.
Image

Paul tried to launch the Budget version of Cruiser Air
Image

Image

But due to rising fuel prices Malcom pulled the pug on anymore attemps to get airborne....
Image
Image

Monday morning and time to head out for a play
Image

Guess the number plate
Image

Bloody bagels kept turning up everywhere :D
Image

Trust me guys, check under you air cleaners cause I just found some under mine
Image

Badnuz new roof profile
Image

And the Hillbilly award had to go to the boys from the big smoke
Image

Jumper decided to use Pauls method of checking the oil levels in the 40
Image

Then Crispy decided to end the trip in style...................
Image

Much to Badnuz shock
Image

This photo sum's up the weekend....
Image

A fun weekend with people getting out and doing it Kiwi Style
Roll on next year.
Big thanks to the hardwork put in by everyone and also to those who travelled from aways to help make it happen

Sorry Jerry, didn't realise that you organised everything for the Q/Bd trip
Guess that is why the rest of the Welly Crew had so much time to sort their trucks etc before the trip
