There are two Pajero's smaller than the proper Pajero.

The Pajero io comes with 1.8 & 2.0 litre motors, has a 5 link live rear end, super select full time 4WD with a proper low box and generally not a bad vehicle but only comes with funny wee wheels.

The Paj Jr is the dopey looking thing with a 1 litre or maybe 1.3? motor. No idea what transmissions they have as they look far too silly for me to consider being seen near one for a look.

Sorry if anyone has one of these Jr's......

i like the jrs... :D

they come with many engines... i have had two friends with them at one stage. they were both the 1100cc model. went suprisingly well. one was auto, the other was manual.

i have also seen smaller engines around the 660cc (or maybe 860cc, somewhere around there anyhow) turbo charged. no idea how they go tho.

the main prob with them is mods. there are next to none comercially available.on aftermarket springs and as its a mono body/chassis set up you cant even do a bodylift. the biggest tyres we got on my friends auto was 215/75/15s. tryed 30s, but there was no way without alot of massaging. they only have small diffs tho so they may not need bigger tyres.no lockers goes without saying. the 2 my friends had seemed to take a beating. there was a russian one i found a while ago with lada springs i think... here is a thread with replys from the russian guy about his mods... english is definatly his second language, his name is "verner" and i think he uses it for comps etc. http://www.pocuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=62185
and here is a link to his pics ( there are some of the suspension he used) http://www.pajero4x4.ru/fgallery/thumbn ... p?album=37

there have been two in the trials scene. one was a A class, using hub adapters running 31" perelli scorpians and an sc12 toyota supercharger. was auto.. went VERY well.... i thought it did anyway. there has also been a blue one. it was running on 32s, but not sure what motor or anything was in it. had longer front wish bones and was very low. looked very stable.

so my verdict.. i like them, and they seem a good, if un-modable alternative to a suzuki.

If he got the speakers set up right then he just turns it up once a month and the rust falls off, so its not a problem.
