nah, the pinion backlash isnt the problem,
its the tension on the diff assembly bearings im after, the round plates with the holes in with the lock tab that loads the (spool?) bearings.
it might not be too important and they might just be set with the old 'tweak-it-up-and-back-off-quarter-turn' method??
i dont want the bearings whining so i thought i would find out what everyone else does??
i got told they are preloaded A LOT but it seemed a bit over the top so i thought i would ask the people who actually work on these things (you guys

) as the settings ive been given seems B.S.
