Hey there guys, I've got a set of 60 series diffs to chuck under my Blizzard but I don't know what ratio they are.

I've researched a bit on the net and on some yankie sites found they could either be 3.7 or 4.1 but I dunno if they are different from our jap import cruisers?

What's the best way to find out their ratio I've tried spinning them but not sure the best way to figure it out?

They are probably 4.1:1
Jam one of the hubs so it can't turn. If it takes 2 full turns (plus a little) of the pinion to turn the free hub one turn - it will be 4.1
If it takes a little less than 2 full turns - it is 3.7

If it's really hard to turn with one jammed, then you're lucky and have a LSD - so do the test on the front axle...

3.4 60's were 4.1 and most of the 2h diesel's were 3.7. Not sure about petrol ones.

Are the diff heads out?

If so if you can see the numbers 37 & 9 on there they are 4.11s - worked out as 37 divided by 9 = 4.11
