warn winch exploded view anyone
want to strip my warn 9000 down and clean and regrease etc etc, any advice, i have never taken one apart anything to be aware of ? and is there an exploded view pic anywhere. thanks

If you had an 8274 I've got a good link somewhere of some site where a guy did a complete groundup rebuild with pictures detailing every step

got the winch off today to find its in damn good condition and its a HS 9500 version and not a 9000 as i first thought which i suppose is a bonus.

They are the same inside - good score!
They stopped making the HS9500 a couple of years ago and replaced it with the 9500Ti which has the same specs but also a temperature overload light.
One thing I didn't see on that warn page was the setting of the preload on the brake that is inside the drum. So if you don't need to pull the brake out, don't.

thanks for the help, striped and rebuilt, the gease inside was really dry and and needed replacing, the motor had a bit of crap in so cleaned it out, everything else seemed fine, left the brake alone as advised. thanks again
