Forecast for Sunday is sunny weather Mike.
How far is this run going to be? I only get 160k out of tank on my KLX250. But I'm keen to give it a run Sunday tho.

dunno, never done it but i dont think it would be anywhere near 160km/hr as i only plan on going for a couple of hours

If it snows tonight and tomorrow there then it would be quite good scenery I think. Was planning on heading out in the mid to late morning.

Well I'm a starter. My bro might be keen as well. He's on a Suk DZ400. We'll be in touch Mike.

Just a good old honda xr250. Real easy to ride, lots of low down torque, perfect for someone who broke their collar bone on a 50cc

My mates and I all had a good time today Mike. Thanks for the invite!
Here are a few pix i snapped along the way.

Sorry to hear you're leaving Chch for a lady Mike.

She must be worth it to leave the Mainland. But all the best anyway.
Pete.

Prob the only reason id ever leave this place. Ride was awesome. I think my headache today is from my brain being squashed against the back of my skull from the acceleration of your quad pete! Still can't believe the power of that thing!
Might have to take friday off (bday) and spend the day up there if its nice weather!

That's a good reason Mike. From what i gather, you'll be in good hands up there in Welly (not talking about your girlfriends hands)

. What, with better off road trips and big regular group meetings. Sounds better than down here.
So you think you'd be keen to do the same run Friday?? I'm keen!
We could take both my quad bikes. I'm selling my other quad. It's a sports version of what you road last weekend called a Renegade.
Let me know if you're keen and I'll get it off the dealer for the day. You can ride mine. It'll be fun.

This my Renegade Mike. It's still for sale..
Believe it or not. This quad is slower than my Outlander that you rode last weekend. Same power plant (Rotax V-twin 800) just not chipped and dyno tunned (like the Outlander)
So if you're keen, I'll get the use of the Renegade for the day while you ride my Outlander?
It'll be a blast you won't forget.

It'll be a blast you won't forget
especially when i go flying off the bank at 120km/hr after the throttle jams open

I want to say yes and in the same instance no as that quad is crazy powerful. Hospital three weeks kinda puts me off a little pete

There is no way i could keep up with you, after all you were pulling away from me on my XR ! But in saying that, with this weather possibly more snow up on those hills and the XR might struggle through it. hmmmmmmmm decisions! life or death

fun or insanely fun

XR or 2sec 1/4 mile!
If its sunny on friday or a nice day I'm definitely going. apparently there is a cliff you can go and sit on and watch the sea birds land and fly beneath you! Last chance to see this I reckon.

I think you're exaggerating it just a little there Mike.
In the first few hours of riding the Outlander it scared me to.

There was no way I was going to have an accident on it cause I never pushed it hard enough. So I think you riding someone else quad bike and it all being new to you? You'll be fine. Just stay in your comfort zone. I know I ride fast, but you don't have to keep up with me. It won't be a race.
I'll leave it up to you.
What ever the weather, the 4X4 quad can handle it. I don't mind the cold..
If you decide to go. I recon we should leave earlier in the day. But that'll be up to you birthday boy.
