That's a helluva lot of petrol $$$ Fish - would it not be better to get a diesel 2.8 or 3.1 - much more economical to run. The 2.8s will give round 8.5L per 100km with a light foot, and the 3.1s about 10L per 100ks. 2.8T definitely the best of the motors by a long way. Have heard the 3.2 petrol is derived from honda legend motor and can give occasional head cracking - don't know how bad. Certainly has plenty of get up and go, but 14-20L per 100ks will put you quickly on very good terms with several oil sheiks....hope you've got a big chequebook..

Did you go ahead with the purchase of the 94?
I've added a 3.1 LWB to my Isuzu family, and it's been great so far, big step up from the 89 model in comfort, hence why I'm not allowed to do mods to this one
Even my WOF guy said to my wife that its a really tidy one, don't let Alex near it
I should do a MPG/LPKm test on this new one, I know I was getting great economy out of the 2.8, and I must have been lucky, I have spent 0 $ on the engine in the 2.8, actually, other than front suspension bushes, and normal wear and tear stuff (wheel brg, brake pads, oil change, strg idler, and drag link) I haven't had huge bills.
Hell it's 19yrs old, teenagers are always gonna give you trouble
